She's Born With It!
/I don't know about you but make up has never been easy for us sisters. Growing up, we were all athletic and hmmm how can I say it nicely....plain when it came to our looks?! I personally loved makeup and especially loved when someone else wanted to do a makeover (High school besties Michelle, Carmen, Jes, and Sarah do you remember the blue eye shadow photo shoot!!! AAAAHHHH!). However, I was never good at putting it on, figuring out what colours I needed and applying everything smoothly.
Fast forward to fifteen years later and by all means I am still not a pro. But, I have found some items and things I love. We had fun testing and trying so many wonderful products from Maybelline with a few of our favourites. I think one of the first Mascara's I ever bought was their infamous pink and green bottle!
The Blushed Nudes Eye Shadow Palette had so many beautiful pinks and soft pastel colours which I personally love for my eyes.
However, this day was all about testing new items on our future bride-to-be, our littlest sister, Brie. We recruited our resident makeup pro - Kendra- to help us beautify our Brie girl. If you know Brie, you are familiar that her natural beauty radiates from inside. She has gorgeous lashes so we applied the Volum' Express The Mega Plush Washable Mascara and it strengthened and lengthened her lashes. However, on her wedding day she will definitely need waterproof such as the Volum' Express The Colossal Waterproof Mascara.
The Master Blush Colour and Highlight Kit offers the perfect pop of colour for the apples of your cheeks! The variety of shades helps the palette work for many different skin tones. Brie added a more subtle tone to help blend in with her skin colour but still give her a nice colour.
It was fun to play with colours to see what worked best for Brie. With her wedding coming up we wanted to experiment with a few different looks to see what she liked best. Her favourite was the EyeStudio Colour Tattoo 24Hr Cream Gel Eye Shadow in Bad to the Bronze colour.
We tried on a few different shades of lip liner and lipstick and loved the colour of the Dusty Rose Color Sensational Lip Liner but Brie ended up going with a natural look at the end.
