A time to gather

Fall is in full swing and we wanted to take the opportunity to invite a few friends over to gather as a community and enjoy a fall get-together. We think it is so important to build into each other's lives as women and in order to do so, sometimes you need to set aside time to be with each other. So, we threw a fall "gather" party with a few of our friends, some sweet treats and lovely conversation.

Sugar Patisserie made some beautiful macaroons! The colours screamed fall to us and the two flavours - London Fog and Caramel had the perfect hint of autumn wonder. 

Each guest had a delicious handmade caramel from Tout de Sweet Confections and a handmade place setting using some fresh boxwood, bird feather, ribbon, tag and a birch paper heart tucked inside.  Heather from Wooden Boards made these beautiful birch coasters and birch hearts which was the perfect fit with our rich navy tablecloth and fresh sprigs of greenery. 

We were treated to pumpkin spice muffins from Krusteaz. Krusteaz makes delicious muffin mixes and other baked items that are so easy to mix and bake at home. It took me less than five minutes to mix the batter and then the oven did the rest of the beautiful work. The whole house smelled like fresh pumpkin baking. 

The best part, was the conversation. We all still don't really know what happened on "Lauren's walk" do we, but we laughed, we encouraged, we listened and we loved on each other. We also agreed that a ladies night out is needed once a week. Please tell our husbands!
