May planting with Devry
/We are slightly late on the gardening hop here but better late than never! We are so eager to plant more flowers and herbs from DeVry Greenhouses as our garden turned out glorious last year with additions from them. This year we are keeping our boxes simple with DeVry and adding 3 or 4 different variations of herbs along with some pansies, marigolds, petunias, and voilas.
We have found DeVry’s quality of plants excellent and their herbs and flowers have produced so much for us throughout the last couple years so we were eager to add them again this year. We love adding a variety of bedding plants along the border of our garden beds to attract pollinators and keep out unwanted insects.
Having fresh herbs on hand is so versatile as they can elevate any dish that you are making! We are including thyme, oregano, rosemary, parsley, and mint this year. You could have smaller patio garden boxes that are dedicated just for herbs or even work them into your larger garden beds. I (Lauren) have learned through trial by error of where to plant different things and I’m getting better each year that I do it so I’m thankful for places like DeVry that produce quality plants that are much easier for me to keep alive than starting from seed.
You can find DeVry Greenhouses seedlings at your local Save-On-Foods, Rona, Lowe’s, Loblaws etc., and plant them in your garden even now - it’s not too late!
