Bushel and Peck Books for Fall

You know we love stocking our shelves with books or checking out books from library that are filled with incredible content for our children. Bushel and Peck Books publish many excellent titles for children that encourage children to develop their sense of wonder and learn as well.

Here are a few of our favourites for fall this year:

  1. Fold Out Anatomy - What an incredible book for any animal lover. The book describes all of the human body systems such as respiratory, muscular, digestive etc. but also compares them to how animals complete the same tasks. There are also fold out pages for each section showing a different perspective of how each system works in each creature. A fascinating read.

  2. Brave Like Jackie Robinson - Any baseball fans out there? This series is great beginner read for any sports fans. It is a graphic novel with different chapters. The beautiful and bright illustrations keep readers engaged while encouraging children to be brave and demonstrate courage like Jackie Robinson.

  3. Kind Like Fred Rogers - This is another book in the Good Guys Agency series (same as Brave Like Jackie Robinson) highlighting the kindness of Mister Rogers. It is written in the same format as the Jackie Robinsons book as a graphic novel; an easy read for children.

  4. Draw with Mom 2 - This is the second book in this series which is an interactive book where children can draw/journal/doodle with their mom. Each page poses a question, inviting the child or mom to create a picture. What a beautiful way to spend time with a child who loves to draw or use their imagination.

  5. Baseball around the World- One of our favourite books for any baseball lover. An excellent non-fiction read highlighting America’s favourite pastime, baseball. Each page shares how different countries around the world play baseball, where baseball started from and MLB athletes who came from different countries.
